Driver seriously injured in crash on I-195 Tuesday after rear ending Enivronmental Police K9 cruiser
A driver was seriously injured Tuesday after crashing into an Environmental Police Officer cruiser that included a K9 officer.
The crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. on I-195 Westbound at Exit 18 (Route 240).
The driver of an Infinity crashed into the police cruiser in the breakdown lane.
The officer, who was away from the vehicle, is ok. The K9 was taken to a vet.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
