Driver seriously injured after car bursts into flames in Freetown

A car burst into flames Friday after a crash left a driver injured.

According to the Freetown Fire Department, an early morning motor vehicle crash on Quanapoag Road left the operator with serious injuries and the vehicle in flames.

The operator had exited the vehicle prior to the passenger compartment being affected by the flames.

No other details were released, and the crash is under investigation.
