Driver injured after cement truck rolls into hole at Taunton site
TAUNTON — Chief Timothy Bradshaw reports that the Taunton Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a cement truck Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Taunton firefighters responded to the area of 39 Jefferson St. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a cement truck.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders discovered a cement truck operated by Redi-Mix Services Inc. that had rolled onto its side.
The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
Due to ongoing clean-up efforts, Jefferson Street remained closed for several hours and has since reopened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Taunton Police Department.
