Driver dies in crash on Route 95 Tuesday
The Rhode Island State Police report that a Rhode Island man died in a motor vehicle crash on Route 95 South in Cranston.
The victim was identified as Christopher Young, age 51, of Narragansett, Rhode Island.
Last night, at approximately 8:40 p.m. Troopers received a report of a single motor vehicle crash on Route 95 South just south of the Route 37 off-ramp in the City of Cranston. The motor vehicle veered off the roadway to the right and entered into the soft shoulder where it rolled over.
The operator of the motor vehicle was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Cranston Rescue and was pronounced deceased. Two additional family members were travelling with Young and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluations. Their injuries were minor.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
