Driver charged with attempted murder after pedestrian suffers potentially life-threatening injuries in Brockton crash
A driver has been charged and a pedestrian is fighting for his life after a Saturday morning crash.
According to the Brockton Fire Department, at just before 9:00 a.m., Brockton Fire, Brewster Ambulance Service, and the Brockton Police Department responded to the area of 88 North Main Street for a crash involving a pedestrian, light pole and building.
The pedestrian, a 50-year-old man who has not yet been named, was transported to the Good Samaritan Medical Center, and then med-flighted to a Boston Hospital suffering from potentially life-threatening injuries.
Inspectors from the Building Department also responded to evaluate the damaged building.
According to multiple reports, the yet-to-be-named driver is being charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
