Driver arrested, Massachusetts State Trooper injured in head-on crash
A Massachusetts State Trooper was injured last night in a serious crash.
According to the State Police Association of Massachusetts, at approximately 11:30 p.m., while commuting home, a Massachusetts State Trooper assigned to the H-Troop Detective Unit, was injured in a head-on collision with an impaired driver on Standish Street in Marshfield.
The Trooper who is a 10+ year veteran of the force, suffered injuries that are considered to be non-life-threatening, however, he is still hospitalized.
The operator of the other vehicle that struck the Trooper was arrested on scene by Marshfield Police. The man, who is in his late 20s and from Marshfield, has been charged with Operating Under The Influence and other related charges. He was released a few hours later on $240 bail.
