Driver arrested by Massachusetts State Police after early morning fiery wrong-way crash on Route 24
A Massachusetts driver has been arrested after a wrong-way crash on Route 24 this weekend.
According to scanner transmissions, Massachusetts State Police responded to a wrong-way driver at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday who was reportedly driving north in the southbound lane in the area of Brockton and West Bridgewater.
Massachusetts State Police put out stop sticks with a positive hit on the vehicle’s tires.
As the male driver was driving the wrong way, the vehicle reportedly struck another vehicle causing a rollover that resulted in a fiery crash.
Initial reports suggested that the injuries were not life threatening.
Multiple requests to Massachusetts State Police for an update on the incident have been unsuccessful.
