Fall River Police are investigating an early morning shooting that took place on Sunday.

A call came into dispatch just before 1:00 a.m. for multiple shots fired in the area of South Main and Griffin Streets.

Shortly after, a call came in for a female gunshot victim that had driven herself to St. Anne’s Hospital.

A white Jeep Grand Cherokee could be seen with what appeared to be multiple holes due to gunshots.

According to multiple reports and family members, a 31-year-old pregnant Fall River woman was the victim of a gunshot wound to the leg that did not appear to be life-threatening. She was later transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

It is currently unclear if a suspect is in custody.

I’m betting this was an argument about a Market rate apartment. Competition for a $2599 a month living space is really heating up. It is now clear that the quality of persons coming to live and play in Fall River is rising.

Probably some yuppie from Boston. Fall River people don’t do violence.
