Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation gives $10,000 grant to local organization

Community Autism Resources is pleased to announce it has received a $10,000.00 grant from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. These funds will support our families as this pandemic and its repercussions continue into the upcoming year. Our goal is to enhance their quality of life, as well as ease any burdens that may exist due to this unprecedented year. Our hope is that by providing financial relief, they can focus on the care of their loved ones with ASD.

According to Community Autism Resources’ Executive Director, Barbara Domingue, “We are so thankful for our continued relationship and the ongoing support we receive from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. Their mission ‘To help people and families affected by autism live life to the fullest.’ is reflected in their generous support of our organization and our families. The funding from this grant will allow our families to catch their breath after an extraordinary year. We are grateful for this opportunity to provide this funding to our families in a time when it is needed.”

The signature grants that the Flutie Foundation distributed this year support traditionally under-served, under-funded, culturally diverse communities reflected in the Foundation’s areas of interest; providing a path for educational and vocational skills, supporting recreational and active lifestyles, and ensuring people with autism are safe, supported and informed.
