Dog shot and killed by police after reported multiple attacks, latching onto to woman’s head
A Massachusetts police officer shot and killed a dog on Thursday after reported multiple attacks on two people.
According to police, the Peabody Police responded to 22 Endicott St. at 10:45 p.m. for a reported distress call.
On scene, it was reported that there were two people who were actively being attacked by their dog.
Upon arrival, the responding officer immediately observed a male and female party standing on top of a car with extensive injuries. The male party was bleeding heavily. The dog was still acting in an aggressive manner, trying to get to both parties.
As the officer parked his cruiser, both parties tried to get down from the vehicle. It was at this point the dog began to attack them again, latching onto the female’s head and shaking her. The officer felt the female party was in danger of serious bodily injury or death. The officer used his service firearm to neutralize the dog.
Peabody Fire Department and Atlantic Ambulance rendered medical aid to the victims and transported them to the hospital to be further treated for their serious injuries. The male is still being treated. The female was released.
The Peabody Police Department and Massachusetts State Police continue to investigate this incident.

I would like to know how those dogs were treated before the attack. Dogs normally don’t attack for no reason.
