A dog owned by a murdered Marshfield couple has gone missing and the couple’s daughter is looking for the public’s help.

According to a Wednesday press conference, police were dispatched to a home on 75 Gotham Hill Drive at approximately 9:19 p.m. on Tuesday for a well-being check.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of a male and female with obvious signs of trauma and were determined to be deceased.

70-year-old Carl Mattson and Vicki Mattson, who would have turned 71 today, were the homeowners and victims of the homicide.

According to Plymouth County Cruz, the couple was stabbed and bludgeoned to death.

27-year-old Christopher (Chrispy) Keeley of Weymouth is a suspect in the murders and is wanted by authorities. Keeley may have dyed his hair red.

Cruz stated that the suspect and the couple were acquaintances.

According to CBS News, the couple was likely attacked last week over a barking dog, and it was a friend of Keeley’s who asked police to do a wellbeing check concerned that Keeley had been living with the couple as a favor to a family member but had recently been asked to leave. Keeley had also stated that he had an urge to hurt people, including the couple.

A 2019 black Jeep Wrangler belonging to the couple was reportedly taken from the scene by the suspect and has since been found abandoned in Avon.

Kristin Robinson described her parents as her rock.

“Always there to support me and encourage me to do great things. I am who I am today because of them. I love you guys – you will be with me in my heart forever.”

On top of dealing with an unfathomable tragedy, Kristin is now searching for the dog owned by her parents.

“My parents’ dog Bailey is still missing, if anyone has seen him around Marshfield please reach out to me. It is quite possible he could be in Avon as well. To anyone who lives on Gotham Hill and the surrounding area, please check under your decks/porches.”

If you have any leads on Bailey, Kristin can be reached here.
