Diman, Swansea, Somerset, Westport, Dartmouth, Tiverton announce no school, Fall River Public will continue school for now

Several local schools will not be having school in the near future.

Diman will be closed next week, Monday March 16-Friday March 20.

However, Tuesday March 17, there will be a 2 hour delay for students who do not have an electronic device to access Google Classroom. All buses will be running on the 2 hour delay schedule and will dismiss at 11:45. No food will be served, only students who need an electronic device are to report.

Fall River Superintendent of Schools Matthew Malone released a detailed letter explaining the steps the district is taking and also the reasoning as to why Fall River will continue to have school.

Somerset Public Schools and Somerset Berkley Regional High School will be closed the weeks of March 16, 2020 through March 28, 2020 with a return to school day for Monday, March 30, 2020.

For SBRHS students only needing to download or print any work, the School Library will be open Tuesday, March 17 from 9:00AM-12:00noon and Monday, March 23 from 9:00am-12:00noon.

All Swansea Public Schools are closed Monday March 16-Friday March 20.

The Westport Community Schools will be closed Monday March 16-Friday March 20.

The Tiverton Public Schools will be moving April Vacation to next week, Monday, March 16th through March 20th per the state of Rhode Island.

Dartmouth Public School district will be closed from March 16 to March 20 to do a deep cleaning.
