Diman students earn 16 medals as 14 qualify for national skills competition
Some Fall River area students took home some serious hardware thanks to skill, hard work, and determination.
Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School announced that 14 students will be part of the Massachusetts team competing in the SkillsUSA National Conference.
Students competed via Zoom or in-person at Blackstone Valley Tech on April 30th.
Typically, students who win a gold medal in the state competition will travel and spend a week at the national competition. This year, the event will be held virtually in June.
Students awarded the gold medal will be moving on to compete and represent Massachusetts at nationals, as will State Officer winner Lorelei Hetzler.
In addition to the 13 gold medals, Diman earned two silver and one bronze medal.
