Department of Children, Youth & Families: Neglect nearly kills 5-year-old girl
Providence, R.I. (March 26, 2021) -The Department of Children, Youth & Families is disclosing the near fatality of a 5-year-old girl from Warwick.
The Department had no prior involvement with the family.
The incident occurred on February 27, 2021. The Department initiated an investigation, and through this investigation, DCYF confirmed neglect contributed to this near fatality. Pursuant to state law, DCYF has notified the Office of the Child Advocate of the report.
