Friends and family have lost a loved one. Fall River has lost a man who loved the city and had a talent for showing it off.

49-year-old Dean Diogo passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday and Fall River has lost a little spark because of it.

At the time of his passing, Diogo ran a photography business that bears his name. In November of last year, he opened the Garage Gallery on Thompson Street that featured his work and the work of others.

Diogo was an accomplished photographer. He loved nature, life, and Fall River. Dean knew how to make Fall River look like the gem that it sometimes is. When you saw his talent, the poor and drug-infested parts of Fall River were a distant memory. Dean knew how to capture Fall River’s beauty.

The photos shown throughout this article are photos that he took that he shared with Fall River Reporter so we could share them with the world.

In addition to photography, Dean enjoyed filmmaking. According to those who knew him well, he also liked to fish, but most importantly, enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

They say that the goal of one’s life is to leave the world better than when you entered it. Fall River was a better place for knowing Dean Diogo. Mission accomplished.

Dean was a true artist who absolutely loved his city!!! He was a quiet guy who had no problem helping out the local organizations with donations of his amazing photos, he made our city shine through his lens. Definitely a hard loss to the community and my prayers go out to his family and friends.
