Dead shark washes ashore onto Massachusetts beach
A deceased shark washed ashore on a Massachusetts beach this past weekend.
A 6 foot deceased porbeagle shark was found 1/2 mile north of Marconi Beach Sunday.
Marconi Beach is in Wellfleet on Cape Cod.
According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, the cause of death is currently unknown.
The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries has been notified.
Porbeagle sharks grow to an average of 5 to 6 1/2 feet long and weigh approximately 300 pounds.
