Day of Portugal coming to Fall River in June
Food and entertainment are on tap at the Gates of the City in Fall River this June.

From June 7-10, the festival will feature it’s famous food court with our local Portuguese favorites from chouriço to malasada.
There will also be entertainment each night.
On June 8th at 8:30 p.m., EDGE brings together decades of music experience to provide audiences with a mix of yesterday and today’s best Portuguese and American music. At 10:00 p.m., Canada’s premier Portuguese Band Starlight will perform.
On June 9th at 8:00 p.m., popular Portuguese performer David DeMello brings an energetic presence accompanied by enough drums, bass, guitars, keys, trumpets, saxophones and percussion to make you get off your seats and dance. Legendary Pop Band Santamaria hits the stage at 9:30 p.m.
On June 10th, Boston based rock band Eratoxica hits the stage at 6:30 p.m. The famous and legendary Marc Dennis closes out the festival at 8:00 p.m.
Other performances are scheduled throughout the four days.
There are special events for the children scheduled on the 10th. At 1:00 p.m. there is a Kid’s Fair featuring free pony rides, face painting, temporary tattoos, New England Revolution Mascot, and a firetruck. At 3:00 p.m. the famous Toe Jam Puppet Band from New Bedford will perform some tunes for the youngsters.
