Dartmouth Police arrest man on drug trafficking charges Thursday
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Thursday, May 31, Dartmouth Police detectives, with the assistance of members of the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department Warrant Apprehension Team, executed a search warrant at #29 Middlesex Avenue. The warrant was related to an extended narcotics investigation led by Dartmouth detective Derek Sousa.
As a result of the search, detectives arrested Javier Nova, 29, of #29 Middlesex Avenue, North Dartmouth.
During the search, detectives located and seized twenty-eight grams of Fentanyl, thirteen grams of crack cocaine, $965 in U.S. currency, and materials associated with the packaging of narcotics.
Nova was charged with possession with intent to distribute class B (crack cocaine), possession with intent to distribute class B (subsequent offense), and trafficking in Fentanyl.
Chief Brian P. Levesque said, “I’m very proud of the efforts put forth by our Detective Division. Their continued and dogged pursuit of making the streets safer for the community is a credit to this department.”
