Dartmouth Police arrest level 3 sex offender living behind school
DARTMOUTH, MA – Police have announced that they have arrested a level 3 sex offender.
According to Dartmouth Police, on Thursday, at approximately 5:20 a.m., members of the Dartmouth Police Department Detective Division, arrested Robert Magath, 47, after an extended investigation determined that he had been living in an encampment located in the woods behind Potter Elementary School.
Magrath was charged with failing to register as a level 3 sex offender.
The arresting officer was Cristina Brum.
Magrath was convicted in 2018 of Indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age, according to records.
