CVS issues added benefits for employees, safety updates for customers
CVS Pharmacy® has issued updates on policies for both customer safety and employees.
In an update Wednesday, the company state that when you visit a CVS Pharmacy, you’ll see the following:
-Disinfectant wipe stations to wipe down your cart or basket
-Signage and floor markers to remind you to maintain proper social distance
-Employees wearing CDC-approved masks and gloves
-Regular cleaning of hard surfaces and frequently handled items
-New protective panels at checkout and pharmacy counters (arriving soon at all stores)
-Fewer signatures required on our PIN pads
To protect employees and their families during the pandemic, CVS states that they are providing the following:
-Bonus eligibility for employees working 10+ hours for the month of April
-24 hours of sick time for part-time employees, plus standard sick time for full-time employees
-25 days of child care or elder care
-Up to 14 days of continued pay for employees who test positive for COVID-19 or who are quarantined for exposure
With many retailers changing their practices involving both employees and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, companies hope that consumers will continue to shop and employees will feel appreciated at the workplace.

My neice works for CVS in Fall River and was exposed to Covid and has not been paid for over a month. Shame on them. She has worked at CVS for over 15 years and has worked thru this pandemic with 2 young children at home. They are not taking care of their employees!
