UPDATE: Body found of missing boy who jumped off bridge at Bass River

The body of a boy who had gone missing after jumping from a bridge has been found.

Several crews were working to find the missing 15-year-old boy who was swimming in Dennis.

Dennis Police, Fire, County dive team, Yarmouth Harbormaster, and the Coast Guard were searching at Highbank Road at The Bass River. An air wing could also be seen searching for the boy.

Officials stated that the teen jumped from the bridge into the water and was swimming with friends and at some point did not resurface.

Yarmouth Police stated that the bridge was closed as officials searched.

A call came in just before 7:50 p.m. for the water rescue.

The boy was found deceased at approximately 11:00 p.m.
