Crews respond to multi-vehicle crash on Newport Bridge that sends multiple people to the hospital
Multiple people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash on a local bridge Tuesday evening.
According to the Jamestown Fire Department, just before 7:45 p.m., a fire alarm alerted crews to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Route 138 West on the Newport Bridge with injuries and air bag deployment.
First arriving companies confirmed a two-car accident and that all occupants were out of the vehicle.
Crews were on scene for approximately thirty minutes before clearing.
Two patients were taken to local area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
