Crash on Route 95 in Foxboro Thursday leaves one critically injured
According to Massachusetts State Police, Thursday night at about 10:45 p.m., troopers from the State Police-Foxboro Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 95 South just prior to Route 495 in Foxboro that resulted in the operator being seriously injured.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Joseph Durning indicates that a 22-year-old male from Woonsocket, RI was traveling in a 2005 Saab on Route 95 South, when for reasons still under investigation, he lost control of the vehicle and struck the guardrail. The operator was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
State Police were assisted on scene by Mansfield Fire and EMS and MassDOT.
