COVID-19 claims another Fall River area restaurant, marijuana facility expected
The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed another victim.
BK’s Beacon Tavern at 320 Airport Road in Fall River has closed their doors for good.
The restaurant stated that while it was a difficult decision, they just couldn’t overcome the challenges that the coronavirus brought. After declining patronage the last several years, COVID-19 was the nail in the coffin.
“To all the wonderful patrons who have graced our tables over the years; on behalf of the staff at BK’s Tavern, we’d like to say ‘thank you’ for your patronage and loyalty.”
“This has been a difficult decision, for sure.”
“We did our best to survive through this awful pandemic, hoping to come through it, better and stronger than before. It just was not to be. And, although the Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020 has forced BK’s to close, we will always remember the wonderful people we met along the way, and the memories you all had a part in making with us.”
Former employees have stated that the building is expected to become a new marijuana facility.
