Co-owner of Amaral’s Central Market, two other family members, pass away
A co-owner of Amaral’s Central Market in Fall River has passed away.
Laudalina Amaral, 82, of Tiverton, passed away at Morton Hospital in Taunton on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 after a brief illness.
“Lina”, who was born in Feteiras de Sul, St. Michael, Azores, was co-owner of Amaral’s Central Market in Fall River for many years.
According to an obituary, Lina was especially devoted to her family and church, the Luzo-American Pentecostal Church, in Fall River. She also loved to garden and tend to her grapevines.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Laudalina will be privately laid to rest on April 17, 2020 in Oak Grove Cemetery.
According to Evangelical Church of the Nations, Lina’s niece Grace also passed away on Tuesday and Juvenalia Amaral, who is listed as President of Amaral Bros., passed away on Thursday.

As a customer and good friend of the whole Amaral family I am deeply sadden with these tragic losses. Both Senhora Laudalina and Gracinha were magnificent human beings. Charitable and hard working family. My prayers are also for Daciel the other owner who is fighting for his life. There are no words in God’s Good Earth that can express this tragedy and losses. May the Almighty give strength to the grieved members of the immediate family specially David and Elizabeth and their mother.May God bestow upon them strenght and love.
