City of Fall River issues Cold Weather Advisory; here is how you and others can keep warm

(FALL RIVER, MA- February 18, 2025) – On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the First Baptist Church, located at 228 North Main Street (Pine Street Entrance) will open at 4:00pm to provide overnight prayer services for homeless residents of the City of Fall River. The First Baptist Church will open today and remain open from 4:00pm to 8:00am through Friday morning, February 21, 2025.

A warming shelter will be available from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Wednesday, February 19th and Thursday, February 20th at Christ the Rock Church, 414 Rock Street (Walnut Street entrance).

Anyone in need of assistance is urged to call the 24-hour homeless hotline for their shelter needs at 508-676-3528. Street outreach workers from the City of Fall River will be able to assist with transportation if needed.

The First Step Inn, 134 Durfee Street, will be offering shelter services as well as the Timao Center, at the Spindle City Church 371 Bay Street (use Middle Street entrance). For shelter services at these locations call 508-679-8001.
