Bristol County Regional Alliance to End Opioid Crisis Annual Conference Tomorrow

WESTPORT, Mass. = The Bristol County Regional Alliance to End the Opioid Crisis (BCRA) is pleased to announce that it will once again host its annual conference on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at White’s of Westport, located at 66 State Road, Westport, M.A. 02790.

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this year’s conference theme “Healing Together” will feature nationally recognized speakers leading ten interactive workshops on a variety of topics related to substance use prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery.

Over a dozen community partners will be onsite to participate in a resource fair and will be available to answer questions and provide information about regional supports. In addition, the BCRA and the Mental Health Providers Network have partnered to bring “Heal the Healer” workshops to this year’s conference, offering self-care resources and activities to promote well-being and reduce stress. BCRA Chair District Attorney Thomas Quinn shared, “We are very pleased to help bring this important conference back in person, it promises to be an informative and collaborative day.”

The Bristol County Regional Alliance works to enhance regional communication, coordination, and collaboration among diverse stakeholders to end the opioid crisis in Bristol County using a collective impact strategy.

The 2022 conference is sponsored in part through a grant provided by the Center for Disease Control to the City of New Bedford to bring the region together to address the opioid crisis. Attending the conference is free of charge, but registration is required. The event includes light breakfast and a working lunch.
