Bristol County man killed after being hit by two vehicles in fatal pedestrian crash
The name of a pedestrian struck and killed on a Massachusetts highway has been released.
According to police, Wrentham Police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash just before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday between Madison Street and Thurston Street on Route 1.
David Traub from the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office stated that the preliminary investigation suggests Patrick Royster, 42, of Taunton, was walking on the northbound side of Route 1 in the area of Thurston Street, and that he was struck by one vehicle and then by a second that came along as he lay in the roadway.

The scene had cleared by 9:00 p.m.
The matter remains under investigation by Wrentham Police and Norfolk DA’s Office with no charges in place at this time.
