Bristol County District Attorney releases identity of motorcycle rider killed in Route 6 crash
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has announced a fatality related to a motor vehicle crash involving a dump truck at 814 Grand Army Highway (Route 6) and Milford Road in Swansea yesterday morning.
Massachusetts State Police along with Swansea Police were dispatched to the motor vehicle crash on Route 6 at approximately 8:20 a.m.
Upon arrival, police located a blue Can Am Spyder Roadster which sustained damage due to a collision with a dump truck. A single operator of the motorcycle was located with life threatening injuries. That operator was identified as 67-year-old Alan Scott of Somerset. Scott was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival at a local hospital. The dump truck operator was not injured.
The investigation into this matter is active and ongoing by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and the Swansea Police Department.
