Bristol County and Fall River K9s, Somerset Police, help locate woman near Fall River, Westport line
Teamwork helped locate a distraught woman in Fall River Friday.
According to the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office, Bristol County K9 Officer Brennan Bulgar and his four-legged partner, Eros, tracked and located a distraught female.
Responding to a call for assistance from the City of Fall River Police Department, K9 teams from Bristol County and Somerset Police Department, joined FRPD K9 on Blossom Road near the Westport line. Officer Bulgar and Eros participated in a grid search, and after about 90 minutes of tracking through the woods, located the woman and escorted her out of the woods to first responders waiting nearby.
This was Officer Bulgar and Eros’ first successful track as the team has been together for only seven months. “He did well for his first track,” Officer Bulgar said afterwards. “Woods are tough because there’s so much going on; branches, wind, so many smells, other animals, and he great. It was really a collaborative effort between us and Somerset and Fall River.”
