Boston police officer arrested on charge of Secret Sex Surveillance of a Nude Person Under 18
A Massachusetts police officer has been arrested on some troubling charges.
According to the Boston Police Department, on Thursday, Joe Martinez, a Boston police officer since 2008, was arrested by the Norwood Police Department and charged with Possession of Child Pornography, Posing a Child under 18 for Nude Photos, and Secret Sex Surveillance of a Nude Person Under 18.
Superintendent-in-Chief Gregory Long stated “The alleged behavior committed by this Boston Police Officer is disturbing. The Boston Police Department will continue to hold its officers to the highest standards.”
Martinez has been placed on Administrative Leave. The Boston Police Bureau of Professional Standards will continue to work with the Norwood Police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office during the course of this investigation.
