Boston Celtics star teams up with Fall River company to introduce new line of jackets

An NBA star and a Massachusetts company are combining forces to introduce new fashion apparel.

Vanson Leathers, with headquarters located at 951 Broadway in Fall River, have been manufacturing high quality motorcycle apparel since 1974 including leather motorcycle jackets, pants, chaps, gloves, and racing suits.

Their jackets have been worn by entertainment superstars such as Alicia Keys. The company is now teaming up with basketball superstar and Boston Celtic Jaylen Brown for a new line of jackets that was made available to the public on Friday.

Every Vanson is designed, engineered, cut and produced by hand in the Scholarship City which drew Brown to the brand, according to his retail shop 7uice.

“From the disruptiveness of the very first bones leather jacket by Dave Aldana in the 70s, to the repeated perfection of execution and craftsmanship from each Vanson team member over the past 50 years, this collaboration both highlight and honor the pioneers, the crafters, and the teamwork involved in creating a timeless piece of fashion right here in Massachusetts. Drawing three colorways (black/green, white/green, brown/black), with each order carefully hand-made by a Vanson expert, the 7uice x Vanson leather jackets is a fashionable collection of both history and design.”

Back in May, Brown gifted jackets from the line to his Celtics teammates.

Brown and Vanson’s Da’Von Bean collaborated to create the jacket’s design.
