Body recovered after jump from Newport/Claiborne Pell Bridge
Rhode Island State Police have concluded their investigation into a body that was discovered this weekend.
On Saturday morning, Newport Fire and Police Departments along with Rhode Island State Police responded to the area of Goat Island for a report of a dead body.
Officials later recovered the body after entering the water.
Rhode Island State Police confirmed that the recovery was associated with a suicide jump from the Newport/Claiborne Pell Bridge.
No other information was released.
