Berkley, Freetown, Lakeville, Taunton respond to rollover collision with multiple injuries
Several people were injured after a multi-vehicle Bristol County crash on Thursday.
According to Berkley Police Chief Arthur Newhook Jr, at approximately 4:15 p.m., Berkley Police, Berkley Fire, and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Myricks Street and Church Street.
Dispatch received multiple 911 calls reporting the crash and efficiently coordinated police, fire, and EMS response, as well as contacting three surrounding communities to secure mutual aid ambulances.
All injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.
Newhook wants to remind all motorists to use caution when traveling through this area. Please be sure to come to a complete stop at the stop signs on Church Street and only proceed when it is clear and safe to enter or cross Myricks Street.
“Additionally, please remember to always wear your seat belt and ensure all passengers are properly restrained—seat belts save lives.
