Balloon release and service being planned for Fall River teen killed in Route 6 crash
A vigil and service are being planned for a Fall River teen that was killed in a serious Friday night crash near the Westport and Dartmouth line.
According to Dave Procopio of the Massachusetts State Police, preliminary crash reconstruction revealed that as a Lexus approached Route 177 while proceeding on Route 6 at about 9:45 p.m., the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road and hit a utility pole.
18-year-old Jaedin Monterio from Fall River, who was in the back seat, was transported to St Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Three other occupants of the Lexus were 20, 19, and 15-year-old males and were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.
Speed was reportedly a factor in the crash and it is currently unclear who the driver of the vehicle was.
Jessica Duponte, who is Monterio’s cousin, told Fall River Reporter that a balloon release/vigil and funeral service are being planned and the details would be passed along when finalized.

Why would 4 guys be in a car together with the covid going on.
And why do people feel the need to destroy the enviroment and kill animals with ballons because 4 guys were being irresponsible and one of them got killed?
What is wrong with people? Have some common sense!

Um first of all, they were all always with each other so if they wanted to be in a car together they could be. And it’s one of the things that people can do in order for them to try and let go. They can attach a note and feel as though they got to say everything they wanted to say before an unfortunate accident happened. And no 4 guys weren’t being irresponsible, the man behind the wheel was irresponsible. The one who was driving the 100 mph is at fault for this accident, no one else. The question is what is wrong with YOU, sir. You’re sitting here talking down on something that took a young mans life. He is someone’s son. Someone’s brother. You do not get to sit here and think you can talk down on someone when you sit do not know the full story and only what is written in the reports. Thanks now let this young man Rest In Paradise.
