Attleboro man wanted in vicious assault/robbery of disabled man, in custody

Police have announced that an Attleboro man wanted in a beating and robbery of a disabled man is now in custody.

Cory Silva, 29, of Attleboro turned himself in at the Attleboro District Court on Monday. He is being held pending a dangerousness hearing.

Silva was wanted in connection with an armed street robbery which occurred on the evening of April 24th outside of Brothers Liquors. Silva viciously assaulted and robbed a disabled individual, which resulted in bodily injury to the victim according to police.

The other suspect, Shawn Farmer, 41, also of Attleboro, is being held without bail after pleading innocent. Farmer has a dangerousness hearing on May 9.
