Arrest warrant issued in Fall River armed robbery, assault, stabbing
The Fall River Police Department has a warrant out for a suspect in an alleged armed robbery where one was assaulted and another was assaulted and stabbed.
According to Sergeant Joseph Galvao, on March 26th, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Officer Roberto Soares responded to St. Anne’s Hospital in regards to a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, Officer Soares spoke with two male victims at the scene. A third male victim was later identified. After speaking with the victims, Officer Soares learned that all three victims were in a vehicle, parked at the Battleship Cove parking lot. While there, all three victims were approached by a male, wielding a knife and demanding money. One victim handed over $200 in cash to the suspect. A second victim stated he had no money. A third victim ran from the scene. The two victims who remained were assaulted. One of them was punched in the face causing minor injuries, the second was also punched in the face and stabbed in the forearm, causing a minor laceration. No injuries were life threatening. The third victim, who ran from the scene, was not injured.
Based on Officer Soares’ investigation, a male suspect has been identified by use of a photo array.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the male suspect.
