Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson have announced that Leonard D. Robinson, 22 of Lowell, has been arrested and charged with murder. He is charged in connection with the homicide of Dejah Jenkins-Minus, 22 of Boston, that occurred on Thursday, November 25, 2021.

Robinson was located in Boston and arrested without incident. He is expected to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Lowell District Court.

The preliminary investigation suggests that Robinson allegedly killed Dejah Jenkins-Minus on November 25, 2021, in a home located on Llewelyn Street before fleeing the scene. Lowell Police responded to the house on November 26, 2021, at approximately 10:45 a.m., to conduct a well-being check for Jenkins and her two-month-old daughter at the request of a person known to Dejah Jenkins-Minus. Upon arrival, officers found her body inside the residence with signs of apparent trauma. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced her dead. The Chief Medical Examiner later ruled her death a homicide by multiple sharp force injuries. The baby was subsequently located unharmed.

Robinson is reportedly the father of the two-month-old.

On Saturday, November 27, 2021, Officers executed a search warrant at the Llewelyn Street residence and recovered multiple items, including a knife that appears to be consistent with the murder weapon.
