Arrest made, after early morning fight involving several men in Fall River, reports of stabbing inaccurate
An arrest has been made after a fight in Fall River was initially believed to be a stabbing.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 3:00 this morning, officers responded to the 200 block of Haffards Street in response to a fight in progress. The initial reports indicated that someone had been stabbed during the fight, however this proved to be inaccurate.
Upon arrival, and with the assistance of Spanish speaking officers , investigators learned that a fight ensued between several males after a brief exchange of words. The parties indicated that there were no weapons used and no stabbing had occurred.
Two males were transported to an area hospital for minor wounds sustained during the physical altercation. A 21-year-old, male will be charged with assault and battery as a result of the incident.
