Argument between family members leads to Fall River shooting, warrant issued
A warrant has been issued concerning a city shooting that took place on Tuesday.
According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, Fall River Police responded to the 100 block of Foster Street at just after 11:00 p.m. due to a reported disturbance.
An investigation found that an argument between family members had escalated to the point where a male fired a single shot from a handgun into the ground. A warrant has been sought for the arrest of the perpetrator who fled the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Castro stated that due to the domestic nature of the incident and Massachusetts law, the department is unable to release further details.
Court records show that 25-year-old Deyvson Horacio Alves is facing several gun related charges pertaining to the shooting and allegedly carrying without a license.
No injuries or property damage were reported.
