Another piece of Brayton Point to get demolished this week
Another piece of Brayton Point will be no more this week if the schedule remains unchanged.
According to a statement on their web page and Swansea Town Selectman Christoper Carreiro, Brayton Point LLC is providing notice to the Town of Swansea residences, that work to demolish the Unit 4 Boiler Structure building is scheduled to occur on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at approximately 9:30 a.m..
Brayton Point LLC states that demolitions will include traditional building razing techniques and work practices and environmental control provisions are being coordinated with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, the Somerset Fire Department and the Somerset Building Commissioner.
The first three chimneys at the site were demolished in March of 2019 with the two cooling towers being imploded in April of 2019. The final chimney came down in February of this year.

Let those who have no “choice” but to buy heroin instead of hamburg scrap the place. This way they’re not kicking in the doors of people that made the actual choice in opening a small business to better themselves.
