Another Massachusetts winner plans on giving back after taking home $2 million State Lottery win

A heartwarming trend has begun. Big Massachusetts State Lottery winners announcing that they plan on giving back.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Emil Cook of Fitchburg has won a $2,500 a week for life grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,500 a Week for Life” $10 instant ticket game.

Cook chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $2,000,000 (before taxes). He said he plans to invest and give back to charity and his church with his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Patriot Gas & Convenience, 240 Lunenburg St. in Fitchburg. The store will receive a $26,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

Just this week another winner announced he would be giving back with his winnings.

$2,500 a Week for Life has 5 grand prizes remaining.
