Another Massachusetts rideshare driver arrested after Indecent Assault and Battery charge
A Massachusetts rideshare driver has been arrested on a disturbing charge.
According to Boston Police, on Wednesday, April 14 a victim entered District 14 in Brighton to report that she was indecently assaulted by a rideshare driver. Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit conducted an investigation and were able to identify the driver and obtain a warrant for him.
The rideshare driver, Sonpreet Singh 25, of Somerville surrendered himself at District 14 on Sunday, April 18, 2021 where he was arrested for a straight warrant for Indecent Assault and Battery on a person over 14. Singh will be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
According to the Boston Herald, In 2016, 2018, and 2019, rideshare drivers were accused of sexually assaulting female passengers in the Boston area.
