Animal lovers will love what a Massachusetts man plans on doing with his State Lottery $4 million prize
Animal lovers are rejoicing after a Massachusetts man announced what he plans to do with some of the money he won hitting it big on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Paul Riley of Peabody is the second $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X Cash” instant ticket game.
Riley opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes). He was joined by his dog Raven when claiming his prize Wednesday, January 16th at Mass Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. An animal lover, he said he plans to use some of his winnings to make a donation to the Animal Rescue League. He said he also plans to buy a new car for his wife.
He purchased his winning ticket at Summit Variety, 145-A Summit St. in Peabody. The store receives a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
One $4 million prize and six $1 million prizes have yet to be claimed in the “100X Cash” game, a $10 instant ticket that launched in June of 2023.
