An Extra Helping: Mass Care Link surpasses goal, donating 15,600 Meals in Massachusetts
Fall River, MA—Surpassing their initial goal of 10,000 meals, Mass Care Link partnered with hunger relief organization Feeding America to donate more than the equivalent of 15,000 meals to households experiencing food insecurity in the past year. Since 2013, the baystate-based adult foster homecare service provider has helped Massachusetts residents receive the money and support they need to care for loved ones at home. In 2023, to celebrate a decade of serving the community, they pledged to donate 10,000 meals through their partnership with Feeding America.
At the time, Mass Care Link President, and Chief Executive Officer Tara Araujo noted, “We come from the communities we care for and we have all seen the impact that food insecurity can have.” By working together with the network of meal delivery and food banks, Mass Care Link was able to help make a positive impact.
“ By supporting residents looking to care for their loved ones at home, Mass Care Link has always worked to keep families together, explains Araujo. “Through donating 15,600 meals in the past year every member of the Mass Care Link team was able to contribute to the health and well-being of the most vulnerable members of our community.”
