Altercation at Fall River establishment leads to gunfire Saturday night
An incident on Saturday night led to a fight and shots fired in the city.
According to Sergeant J.T. Hoar, Fall River Police responded at 10:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired and a large fight. Officers observed a large crowd of people outside of the Fall River Sports Club on Hope Street. After police spoke to witnesses, it was determined there was a function at the club where two individuals were involved in an altercation. The altercation spilled outside and shots were fired.
Police recovered 2 spent 9mm casings and the incident remains under investigation at this time.
No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting.
