Others were being tested and quarantined, according to Burns on Thursday.
“6 firefighters that worked directly with him have been tested and are quarantined pending results.”
Burns stated that others were being quarantined as a precautionary measure.
“5 or 6 others have also been quarantined and tested out of an abundance of caution after they’ve been identified as working with some of the above 6 firefighters who worked directly with him.”
A second firefighter was confirmed positive on Friday.
Burns stated Saturday morning that all other firefighters who had been tested for the coronavirus have tested negative.
“All pending test results are in. The rest of our firefighters are negative at this time. The hope is we have contained this internal outbreak.”
