Air Quality Alert issued for Saturday
Air quality alerts have been issued for our area.
An ozone action day has been issued for the Fall River area.
Fall River is expected to have an AQI of 101 on Saturday. It is expected to be humid with temperatures in the mid 80s.
Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has also issued an air quality alert for Rhode Island.
Elevated levels of air pollution are expected and this may cause health affects among sensitive people. Those most at risk are children, other active people, the elderly, and those with existing respiratory illnesses.
MassDEP has called an Action Day for poor air quality and recommends limiting strenuous activity, taking public transportation, or working at home, if possible.
