After reading about recent winners, Massachusetts woman buys scratch ticket, hits $4 million
A Massachusetts woman wanted to get in on the action after seeing some recent winners and boy did she.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Charlene Linn of Bridgewater has won a $4 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Brilliant Titanium” instant ticket game.
Linn noted that she had read about recent grand prize winners in surrounding towns and thought that someone from Bridgewater should be next. She was right.
Linn chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes). She plans to use a portion of her winnings to buy a car.
Her winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms located at 33 Main St. in Bridgewater. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
