Two were arrested on murder charges after a police chase on Route 24.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at 1:37 a.m. this morning, a Trooper out of the State Police Milton Barracks attempted to stop a box truck for a left lane violation on Route 24 South in Avon. The vehicle fled, leading Troopers on a pursuit which they discontinued for safety when it exited the highway in Easton.

The vehicle was located a short time later, abandoned, by Easton Police.

After a search of the area, Trooper Michael Murphy and his K9 partner as well as a West Bridgewater Police K9 team took two parties into custody along with a stolen firearm and approximately 20 grams of crack cocaine.

The pair, 23-year-old Kimani Brown and a 17-year-old female, are wanted by the Fort Lauderdale Police for a murder and have been on the run since 2020.

They were held on firearms, drugs, and motor vehicle charges, and as fugitives from justice from Florida.
